Not everyone enjoys exercise. For many, hitting the gym
is an exasperating thought. After all, results take time
and dedication. If only they could visualize results – and
actually see the potential their body has. Now that is motivation.
Lifestyle Family Fitness now utilizes imaging technology
that can turn an exercise underachiever into a buff, toned
and healthy body – right before their eyes.
The Visual Fitness Planner (VFP) created by Inter-Images,
a Fort Worth, Texas based company, is software that allows
fitness enthusiasts (or un-enthusiasts) to see potential
results of a dedicated health and fitness plan.
This unique tool utilizes three-dimensional modeling to
visually demonstrate future body transformations. In addition,
the software uses a variety of mathematical calculations
based on numerous medical studies and research conducted
by the American Heart Association and Cooper Institute for
Aerobic Research to determine a person’s susceptibility
to a variety of health risks, including heart disease and
cancer.

According
to Kevin Laferriere, Vice President of Fitness Services
at Lifestyle Family Fitness, “the purpose of the VFP is
to give visual goal orientation so a member can see the
results that will take place if they reach their goals.
If they understand how adhering to an exercise program and
its variables will impact the way they look and feel, it
becomes empowering.” The planner provides a personalized
training plan including nutrition, cardiovascular and resistance
training goals. The software devises a timeline based on
the information submitted and determines how to go about
achieving results.
The program also communicates a potential
reduction in health risks. “Members can see how losing body
fat or changing lifestyle habits will dramatically change
their body,” Laferriere said. “When you can clearly represent
that change, it’s reassuring and they are more apt to follow
through.“
The Visual Fitness Planner is available at all
37 Lifestyle Family Fitness locations in Florida and Ohio.
All members can take advantage of the VFP, as it is a service
provided with membership.
