The researchers had 15 obese people work at this workstation and measured calories burnt. A study at Northwestern University has determined that consuming a diet rich in fish, nuts and seeds that containomega-3 fatty acids can help lower a person’s blood pressure. The study looked at diet and blood pressure in4,680 men and woman ages 40 to 59that lived in Japan, China, Britain and the United States.- (Source - Reuters)

U.S. researchers have discovered that 10 minutes of exercise each day can help sedentary overweight woman reduce their overall risk of obesity related death. Tests on overweight women showed that even small amounts of exercise improved their fitness.- (Source - MSNBC.com)

Almost all of us know that breakfast is an important part of a diet, but that doesn't mean we eat it! A new survey conducted by the International Food Information Council Foundation found that 90 percent of Americans know they should eat breakfast, but only a mere 49 percent actually eat it.- (Source - Reuters)

A Canadian woman has sparked controversy and debate with her decision to freeze her eggs for her seven-year old daughter. Her daughter has a genetic condition that renders her unable to have a child of her own. If she chooses to utilize her mother's frozen eggs, she will give birth to her biological half-sibling.- (Source - MSNBC.com)

Mothers aren’t the only ones who suffer from postpartum depression. Anew study determined that 10 percent of fathers showed signs of moderate to severe postpartum depression. The belief had been postpartum depression was due to female hormones but this study indicates the huge life change of having a child can contribute to depression.- (Source - Health Day News)
